God's Good News For Mankind

Face Book
God has a desire for you and I to know Him personally. Would you like to know how? Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." The only perfect person that walked this Earth was the Jesus Christ. We are guilty of sin. The first part in knowing God is admitting that we have sinned. We must be willing to confess our sins to God. When we confess, we are not telling God something He doesn't already know. We are merely agreeing with God that what we have done, is sin and is not pleasing to Him. Romans 6:23a, "For the wages of sin is death...". Because of our sin, our punishment is death. Since the original sin of Eve, we all have to experience a physical death. Not only is there a physical death, but there is a spiritual death as well. Spiritual death is an eternal separation from God. Just as a criminal deserves punishment for his crime, we too deserve a penalty for our sin, and that penalty is death.

Romans 6:23b, "but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." God offers the gift of eternal life so that we do not have to experience the death we deserve. This is a free gift to anyone who will accept it. All you have to do is take it. We cannot earn it and we certainly do not deserve it.

Romans 5:8, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Christ died on the cross to pay the penalty for yours and my sin. He loved us enough give His life in order that we might be able to spend eternity with Him. Three days after His death, Jesus rose from the grave. This was to show that He has the power over life and death.

Romans 10:13, "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." God wants us to call out to Him to ask for the free gift of eternal life that only He can offer. Notice that the Bible doesn't say, "you might be saved", but that "you will be saved." You can know today that you have eternal life in Christ, if you are willing to ask it of Him.

Romans 10:9-10, "That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Confessing that Jesus is Lord means that you desire a transfer to take place in your life. The word Lord means, "owner and ruler." This transfer that takes place is you giving Jesus your life. Until we are able to do this, we are not able to call Him Lord.

So where are you today? Do you know for certain that if you were to die right now, you would spend eternity in heaven? If you cannot say yes, would you like to know for sure? Here is a simple prayer that you can pray right now to God.

"Jesus, I know that I have sinned. I ask you to please forgive me of my sins. This day, I give my life to you. I want you to be my Lord and my Savior. I believe that you died and rose again three days later. Thank you Jesus, for giving me the free gift of eternal life. Amen" If you prayed that prayer, John 1:12 says, "Yet to all who receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." You are now a part of the family of God! If you have prayed this prayer, we would like to hear from you. Please contact us and tell us what God has just done in your life! .
